| As part of our on-going commitments with the community, Mai Chau Lodge actively promotes sustainable tourism and is involved in the following projects: |
- Training and education; offering hospitality and trade skills to the local community, enriching their lives and literacy level. Employment of local community (100% of lodge staff are local)
- Purchase local products
- Respect and promote local culture
- Promote and follow sustainable tourism principles in the running of the lodge
- Planting native trees in and around Mai Chau
- Resource and financial involvement in charity building projects in surounding villages of Xo, Van and Panh.
- Participation in the Charity Medical trek with The Seattle Community College
