Duration: 4.5 hours

Pre-Trip: Shoes must be fitted, either the evening before prior to the guests dinner, or upon check in if guests are climbing that day.

Depart: 1pm, meeting in hotel lobby. Start and finish time can change slightly to better accommodate differing arrival times, departures, large groups etc

Return: 5.30pm. Allow room for half an hour slide either way.

Agenda:

1:00PM: Meet guides in the reception area of Mai Chau Lodge, proceed to bike storage to be fitted with bicycles and helmets

1:15PM: Depart on a scenic 20 minute bike ride through local villages and rice paddies to arrive at your climbing destination                     

1:40PM-5:00PM: Rock Climbing

5:00PM: Head back to the Lodge by bicycle

5.30PM: Arrive back at Lodge

Depart from Mai Chau lodge on your bicycle for a relaxed, mostly level ride through the winding valley road, framed on either side by mountains and rice paddies. This easy to moderate 20 minute ride to the cliff will allow you a quick glimpse into rural Vietnam, passing stilt houses, buffalos and beautiful natural scenery. Upon arriving at the cliff your professional guides will set up secure top rope systems so you may ascend the rock worry free. Before beginning the guides will also give you a quick introduction to both the safety basics and the ‘how to’ of rock climbing. This will include proper use of the shoes, some climbing commands and basic tips on climbing (Don’t forget to breathe!). The climbs range from complete beginner to more challenging intermediate routes and will give you a chance to push your mental and physical limits.  Climb as high or as low as you feel comfortable but don’t forget to check out the stunning views across the valley as they make the climb more than worth the effort! After enjoying yourself on the rock it will be time to head back on your bicycle as the sun sets over your shoulders. Back at the lodge and try out the Lodge’s sauna and pool to sooth your muscles.
